Have not been blogging in a while. I have been very busy with a lot of good things. I do worry that sometime I may be involved in a lot of good things that may not be God things. What do I mean by that? I have been pondering a lot about God's purposes. As I research some of the verses regarding this topic, what really came to light was that a lot of the rewards and promises are connected to our purposes in God. I think is very important to understand what we have been called to do in this Earth!!!
I want to draw a distinction between what we want to do from what God has called us to do. I think we misinterpret verse like psalm 37:4 that says God will give us the desires of our hearts. If you read the whole verse, there are things that need to happened before we get the desires. We have to trust Him, delight in Him and do good. In 1 Corinthians 3:8, Apostle Paul tells us that we can plant and water but we will receive according to our labor. I feel that we may be doing very good things but there are things better that others. Things we are designed for and purposes that only we can accomplish. We have to choose those things that God has assigned to us and our rewards will be great. So let's ask the Lord to have the eyes of our hearts flooded with light,so that we can know and understand the hope to which He has called us and understand what that calling is all about.
